The I40 a.k.a. The Road To Amarillo!!
Its cheesy but it had to be done, so I set off on the I40, the road to Amarillo. Had an impressive day's driving today could have stopped before Amarillo but decided to push onto the next rest area, not knowing it was two hours away, through Amarillo and some pretty shocking weather This meant that I drove 1069 miles today, pretty impressive, especially that Land's End to John O'Groats is 874 miles!. Eventually arrived at the poshest rest area ever, it was also a hurricane shelter and a museum to the old Route 66, which the new I40 follows a lot of. Still had to sleep in the car though, and it was freezing!!
