Halfway, and off to Cancun!!
Made it to Dallas Fort Worth airport!!! Was a pretty tough drive, I have been awake for about 21 hours, and driving for most of that. The drive from Forrest City was the toughest trip so far and at about 3am this was illustrated to me pretty dramatically. A lorry drove past and I was convinced a guy was hanging onto the back of it waving at me. Soon after I thought there was someone else waving at me from the back of a different lorry in front of me, but the grand finale was when a purple translucent bat-like thing swooped in front of the car a few times and then landed on the windscreen. Decided then would be a good time to pull over for a break! Eventually made it to the airport at around 5am and got two hours sleep before taking off for Cancun!! Still can't believe I actually hallucinated, nor that I actually made it to the airport!

Had an amazing time in Cancun and I even managed to catch up on the sleep I'd missed when I was driving. But once I got back my problems started again. I knew I had parked the car in the long term park, but after 30 mins wandering round a full car park in the midday Texas heat with my heavy rucksack and a hangover, I couldn't find the bloody thing. I finally worked out that there were two car parks and I had been wandering around the wrong one. Interestingly, the whole time I spent walking around thinking I had lost the car I never once considered that the car could have been stolen! After a long bus trip round the entire airport to the other car park I found it and I was back on the road!!
